We are looking for a dynamic and collaborative self-starter who wants to make an impact on our organization and community as Revenue and Receipts Processor. Working in a cross-functional and forward thinking environment, you will be responsible for verifying and processing incoming cash receipts; preparing daily bank deposits, as well as ensuring deposits from other service areas are processed expeditiously. 

You will maintain all postdated cheques received and prepare for deposit as/when required. You will also create adjustments to tax accounts for water arrears, issue tax arrears notices and investigate payment discrepancies. Your ability in improving processes and realizing efficiencies will provide opportunities to cross-functionally assist elsewhere within the service area and more broadly in the department and organization when needs arise. Committed to providing excellence in customer service, you will engage with internal and external stakeholders in a timely, friendly, professional and courteous manner. 

We are seeking a dynamic driven self-starter who thrives in an environment of innovation and wants to make a meaningful contribution. Your two year community college diploma specializing in Business Administration or Accounting is complimented by one year of experience in an accounting role, preferably in a municipal office environment. Accounting knowledge (GAAP, PSAB), analytical and mathematical skills are required to efficiently balance cash, track payments, identify and rectify errors. A Valid Class G driver’s licence in good standing and access to a reliable vehicle to use for corporate business is required as is the ability to attend evening and/or weekend meetings.
