Job Overview

The Manager of Legislative Services/County Clerk is responsible for providing comprehensive services that are essential to the proper functioning of County Council and its Committees including the development and preparation of agendas and minutes, reports and correspondence, as well as managing the day-to-day operation of the Legislative Services division, including overseeing the management of all County by-laws and corporate records. This positon will provide legislated and administrative support, and handle confidential information and sensitive political issues. The position will co-ordinate County functions, and respond to inquiries/communications, complete special projects and provide coverage for the Director, Corporate Services as appropriate.

Qualifications:

Five years related experience in a Municipal Clerk’s Office or similar environment. Excellent working knowledge of the Municipal Act and the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. Demonstrated excellence in communication and organization skills. Academic credentials in public administration, records management, and privacy legislation.
