Position Purpose: Responsible for the control, management and efficient and effective administration of the financial functions of the Corporation in the areas of business planning and budgeting, long range financial planning, accounting, investment and fund management, asset management, development financing, internal audit, and payroll. Oversees the day to day operations of the accounting and payroll functions and assists the Treasurer in the performance of the statutory responsibilities of the Treasurer in accordance with the provisions of the Ontario Municipal Act. Responsible for the development and implementation of business planning and budgets of the Finance Division.
Qualifications: University degree in Accounting from an accredited University; Professional Accounting designation (CPA). Five (5) years’ demonstrated experience in a senior municipal financial environment;
Experience managing municipal budgets and forecasting future requirements and related financial impacts;
