Reporting to the City Clerk, within the City Clerk Division of the Corporate Services Department, the Manager of By-Law Enforcement is responsible for directing, supervising, managing and monitoring the work plans of a team of administrative, professional and technical staff in the development, administration and enforcement of complex public policies, bylaws and programs to support public safety and livability within the City.
Post-Secondary education in Public Administration, Business Administration or a related discipline. The ideal candidate will have five years of supervisory experience in a By-Law environment. Five years of progressive experience in a similar public safety and supervisory roles. Qualified candidates possess sound knowledge of the concepts, practices and techniques of local government administration; in-depth knowledge of Municipal Bylaw Enforcement with the ability to interpret Municipal policies and bylaws; and knowledge and experience with legal principles and processes. Candidates must also have previous experience with team work planning, performance development and departmental budgeting processes.
The annual salary range is Job Grade 7 $100,473-$122,529 per annum.
