Position Purpose:Responsible for asset management programs for core municipal assets (water distribution systems, waste water collection systems, storm water management systems, roads, bridges and culverts), all other municipal assets in the road allowance, parks, trails and water front recreational assets, and municipal fleet and equipment, including development of service level standards, life-cycle costing, condition assessments and planning rehabilitation and replacement projects. Responsibilities include managing all technical services and engineering related functions within the Operations & Infrastructure Department including oversight of Capital Works projects related to core municipal assets, fleet management, land development application review, municipal service permitting, traffic operations, parking control, and municipal infrastructure locating services. Minimum Qualifications:University degree in Engineering or equivalent discipline from an accredited university; Professional designation of P.Eng. in the Province of Ontario; seven (7) years experience in municipal infrastructure management and operation practices, procedures, technology and standards; previous experience with Capital project delivery; previous supervisory experience in a unionized environment; experience in asset management principles. Asset Management Professional (AMP) Certification and Project Management Professional (PMP) Designation are considered assets.
