Job Overview

Resumes are being accepted for the position of General Manager, Strategy, Innovation, Intergovernmental Services. Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, the successful candidate will act in a support role to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO),  Executive Team, Mayor and Council in support of the City’s strategic and intergovernmental objectives.  This position will be well positioned to monitor and respond to related policy activity and to support advocacy for Council positions on matters as challenges and opportunities arise.  The role will continue to establish the City as a recognized “municipality of influence” within the municipal, provincial and federal contexts, with responsibilities for developing and supporting the implementation of the goals and objectives of the Guelph’s Community Plan and the City’s Corporate Strategic Plan.  In addition this role provides leadership and coordination for innovation initiatives, such as Guelph’s Civic Accelerator program.  Guided by the goals and objectives of the City of Guelph Strategic Plan and committed to the Corporate Values of integrity, excellence and wellness, the candidate will aid in the achievement of the Community Vision – to be the city that makes a difference.


$119,520.74 – $149,400.92
