TheCorporation of the Town of Tecumseh is currently recruiting for a highlymotivated individual to fill the position of Financial Analyst – Revenue.
Reportingto the Deputy Treasurer & Tax Collector, the Financial Analyst – Revenue isresponsible for assisting with the co-ordination, supervision and generaloperation of the municipal revenue function, which includes the collection,balancing, recording and posting of tax revenues, water and wastewater charges,recreation charges and miscellaneous revenue functions. The Financial Analyst – Revenue will alsoassist in the development and maintenance of corporate policies related torevenue and taxation, development and maintenance of the revenue portion of theannual operating, capital and reserve budgets, and presentations to Council.
Thesuccessful candidate will have a University Degree in Business Administration(Accounting) or related field combined with three (3) years of experience in amunicipal finance related field, or a College Diploma in Business-Accountingcombined with four (4) years of experience in a municipal field. Candidates will have a professionaldesignation in accounting (i.e. CPA, CA, CGA, CMA) or MBA along with adesignation as a Certified Credit Professional (CPP) and/or Certified MunicipalTax Professional (CMTP) would be considered an asset. The preferred candidate will have anunderstanding and experience in a municipal tax environment, includingmunicipal finance, assessment and property legislation, tax policy,computerized/financial systems by-laws, e-billings, customer services,collection techniques, contractual law and litigation option.

TheTown offers a starting hourly rate of $43.18 (2019), in accordance with theCollective Agreement with CUPE Local 702.2. This position is subject to a probationary period of sixty (60) days ofwork.
