Clearview Township is currently seeking a Director of Finance / Treasurer.

Qualifications:Recognized degree Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) or Business Administration (Accounting) with 5 to 10 years related experience as well, a CA, CGA or CMA designation. Certification in Municipal Management as well as CMO and CRM designations considered an asset. 

Responsibilities:Reporting to the Chief Administration Officer, the Director of Finance / Treasurer is responsible for the financial well-being of the Township through effective planning, administration, maintenance and operation of the Finance and Information Services Department.

The preferred candidate will possess a thorough knowledge of statutory duties as established by Provincial legislation in addition to operational and advisory responsibilities that involve the organization and their management, capital forecasting, budgeting, internal controls and operational guidance on all aspects of the finance function. The preferred candidate will also possess extensive experience and success in managing and taking responsibility for all financial functions including tax billing and collecting, utility billing and collecting, accounts payable and receivable, payroll as well as debt and investment management, insurance and asset management. 

Experience and proven ability in budget creation and forecasting, public presentation, excellent time management and project management skills and the ability to handle difficult situations. 

Salary:Salary range offered for this position is $105,098 to $127,748 plus a competitive benefits package including pension.
