Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), the Director of Finance and Treasurer is accountable for the overall leadership of the Finance Department.

As the Director of Finance and Treasurer for the Town, you are responsible for providing financial advice to Council, the CAO, Directors and developing innovative approaches and initiatives in the corporate areas of Strategic Financial Planning, Budgets & Forecasting, Accounting, Purchasing, Insurance & Risk Management, as well as Tax Billing & Collection.

This senior leadership position is a member of the Management Committee, which is responsible for moving forward the objectives of the CAO and Council.

As our candidate for Director of Finance and Treasurer, you will have a University Degree in Business Administration/ Finance along with a professional accounting designation.

You will have at least 10 years of overall experience with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership capacity in a financial management role within a public and/or broader public sector organization. You work hard to create a culture of accountability, teamwork and recognition and are proud of the people and teams you lead.
