Reporting to Council, the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) is responsible for strategic leadership and general management of the Corporation, and is the primary policy advisor to Council. The CAO fosters a positive and productive workplace environment and ensures Council directions and policies are implemented and followed.
The CAO manages and directs the Township’s corporate affairs, guiding the senior management team and providing leadership on administrative, human resources, budgeting/finance, insurance, public works and planning issues. The position assumes the role of Deputy Clerk for the Township.
Candidates must have municipal experience, with 5 years working at a senior level. The successful applicant will have superior organizational, leadership, analytical and time management skills along with good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Attendance at evening meetings and some weekend functions is required and applicants are required to hold a valid Class G Driver’s Licence.
