Located along the pristine shores of Lake Huron, the Municipality of Lambton Shores is home to nearly 12,000 full time residents and thousands more who visit seasonally. Lambton Shores is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the vacant position of Area Manager – Roads and Drains, within the Community Services Department.
Working under the direction of the Director of Community Services, the Area Manager – Roads and Drains is responsible for the management, operation and administration of roads, bridges, fleet, drains and equipment operations. Key technical responsibilities include managing the roads network and winter control; maintenance of municipal infrastructure, sidewalks, traffic signals, storm water management, municipal drains and streetlights; managing fleet, including acquisition, maintenance and disposal.
The ideal candidate will be a member of the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT) and will have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in roads maintenance and operations; demonstrated project management experience with management and/or supervisory experience.
The Municipality offers a competitive salary and an excellent benefit plan. The salary for this position is currently set at $ 61,739 to 77,174 (under review).
